Stef's Sourdough Basket
is a local and small artisan bakery,
situated in the heart of Lusaka.
We create naturally-leavened sourdough bread
from different sourdough cultures, which we collect
and nurture from all over the world.
Each of our loaves is made by hand with patience
and dedication. The process of slow fermentation gives the characteristic full-flavored sourdough taste with an excellent crusty crumb.
Stef’s Sourdough Basket stands for sustainability, health, and responsibility from seed to a finished loaf of bread. Nutritious, delicious and beautiful bread made with locally milled flours, using old European methods of wild yeast fermentation and lots of time. Stef’s Sourdough Basket is a contribution to a healthier lifestyle and to bring joy into our eating habits.
Our bread is made from homemade sourdough, different kinds of flour, water, salt, seeds and lots of love.
Gluten-free sourdough bread is made from rice flour, millet, sorghum, teff, and others as well as special care and love.
